Sale second row Christian Day has signed a three-month deal with French champions Stade Francais.

The 24-year-old academy graduate played 12 times for the Sharks this season, scoring one try.

Day was a member of the team that won the European Challenge Cup in 2005 and the Premiership the following season.

Sharks director of rugby Philippe Saint-Andre said: "His appearances this season have been limited due to the form of others - we wish him well."
