Interview: Ospreys elite performance director Andrew Hore on Lyn Jones' departure and the hunt for his successor
Ospreys director of rugby Andrew Hore says coach Lyn Jones' departure was not down to results on the pitch.
Hore also told BBC Wales the door is open for Jones to return one day and did not rule out his successor coming from within the region.
"I think it came down to what we were looking for in a coach, what he wanted to achieve as well," said Hore.
"I don't think it was all results driven with regard to the outcome of Lyn moving on last Friday."
He added: "We are going to be talking to a number of people.
"We understand the criteria of the type of people we are looking for and we can get quite excited about moving forward and what has been built under Lyn Jones which has been outstanding."
"We want people coming from within. We want a rotation generally from within.
"We may be able to appoint that person from within or we might have to bring someone in externally initially to create the culture that we want from within."
