Stefan Terblanche last played for the Sharks in 2003

The 32-year-old former Springbok last played for the Sharks in 2003 before joining the Welsh region.

Terblanche will spend July and August in Durban before returning for the Ospreys friendly fixture at the Liberty Stadium against Bristol on 24 August.

"I am looking forward to being part of the Sharks again," Terblanche said.

When he left the Sharks at the end of the 2003 season Terblanche had accumulated 99 caps (34 in the Currie Cup and 65 in Super 12), scoring a total of 52 tries (271 points in total) between 1998 and 2003.

"I would dearly have loved to play 100 times for the Sharks before I left and it is great to now have an opportunity to achieve this milestone," he added.

"Playing for the Sharks is not just about the rugby, but the lifestyle and the whole KZN (KwaZulu-Natal) experience.

"When you haven't lived here you really miss it, so it's great to be back here in Durban.

"If you haven't actually played for the Sharks yourself, it is very hard to describe what it means and how enjoyable it is."

Terblanche represented the Springboks in 37 Tests, scoring 19 tries after making his debut against Ireland in 1998.
