Jim Mallinder's men return to action at home to Toulon on Saturday week |
Northampton director of rugby Jim Mallinder was not completely satisfied with Thursday's 28-24 European Challenge Cup win in Montpellier. "It may have been thrilling as a game of rugby," he said. "But, as coach, it was a little too nerve-wracking. "We should have controlled the game a little bit more. It is frustrating to see passes hit the floor." Northampton now have a nine-day break before their final Challenge Cup Pool Two match at home against Toulon. Saints have a 100 per cent win record at home this season. And anything but a defeat by more than seven points will secure a home quarter-final.
