Northampton Saints' new signing Ignacio Fernandez Lobbe, has announced his retirement from international rugby.

Lobbe, who plays in the second row, will be hanging up his Argentina shirt, after the second Test against Scotland on Saturday in Buenos Aires.

"This is a decision I have thought a lot about - my last cap will be next Saturday," he said.

"Even though I will play two more years at Northampton, I think it is a good time to leave."

The Pumas won the first Test against Scotland by 21 points 15.

Another Saints summer signing Ben Foden scored a try in England's 64 -10 win over the USA, in the opening round of the Churchill Cup in Ottawa at the weekend.
