Diggin has scored six tries for Northampton |
Northampton full-back Paul Diggin has signed a one-year extension to his contract at the club. The 22-year-old, who made his Saints debut in February 2004, is a graduate of the club's Senior Academy and has made 31 first-team appearances.
"I'm really pleased to be staying at my home-town club - I grew up watching the Saints and feel very much at home at Franklin's Gardens," said Diggin.
Meanwhile, hooker Dan Richmond will leave Saints at the end of the season.
Richmond, 28, has been at Northampton for nine years, making 118 appearances.
"Dan's been a big part of the club for nine years and I played a lot of games with him - his competitive nature has kept him in professional rugby for a long time," said Saints head coach Paul Grayson.
"He's a good player and I wish him well for the future."
Northampton have also handed a two-year contract to Academy forward Alex Rae.
"He has impressed me whenever he's been given a chance in the first team," said Grayson.
