Northampton have signed Salford rugby league half-back Stephen Myler. The 22-year-old, who has made 15 appearances in Super League this season, can play at fly-half or centre and is a proven goal-kicker.
Myler will join up with Northampton's academy in October, after the end of the current Super League season.
"We are very excited at the prospect of Stephen's arrival, he comes to us with a great pedigree in rugby league," said academy director James Sinclair.
"He is eager to make his mark in rugby union and we hope we can help him do just that."
Myler, whose great-uncle Frank played stand-off for Great Britain, has also played for Widnes and St Helens academy.
