Dragons caretaker coach Darren Edwards concedes second row pair Rob Sidoli and Scott Morgan are expected to be out for the rest of the season.

The Dragons forward duo suffered injuries in their Magners League defeat in Munster on Saturday to join captain Tom Willis on the long-term sick list.

Former Wales lock Sidoli needs surgery to fix an elbow problem while Morgan dislocated an elbow in the 38-17 loss.

"The two second rows are probably gone for the season," confirmed Edwards.

Centre Ashley Smith also injured a shoulder in their costly defeat in Cork last Saturday and the 24-year-old is expected to be on the sidelines for a month.

Edwards' triple injury blow comes the month after New Zealand hooker Willis was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

Willis, who had missed much of this season with a recurring knee problem, broke a thumb in their win over Edinburgh last month.

So the Dragons prepare for Sunday's LV= Cup semi-final at Gloucester without four of their most influential players.

But Edwards expects full-back Martyn Thomas and wing Will Harries to be fit for Sunday after initially fears on hamstring injuries.

And despite being forced off with a calf strain in the defeat at Munster, scrum-half Wayne Evans should be available to face Gloucester.
