Brew scored the Dragons second try at the Stadio Zaffanella

Tom Riley and Aled Brew crossed for second-half tries as the Dragons secured their first away win in 15 months.

The visitors led 6-0 at the interval thanks to two Jason Tovey penalties.

A Tito Tebaldi penalty reduced the deficit early in the second half before tries from Riley and Brew and a Tovey conversion secured the win.

The Dragons are now seventh in the Magners League while Aironi remain bottom and still winless.

Aironi wasted an opportunity to secure the first points of the match after 18 minutes when Tito Tebaldi missed a penalty.

And it was the visitors who scored the first points on 27 minutes with Jason Tovey's successful penalty.

Three minutes later Tovey had extended the visitors lead with another penalty after the Italians were penalised for offside.

Tebaldi's poor kicking performance continued as he missed another attempt at the posts seven minutes before the interval.

However in the opening minute of the second half the scrum-half secured Aironi's first points of the game with a successful penalty.

The Dragons best attacking move resulted in the game's opening try on 58 minutes.

Wales winger Will Harries engineered the move and centre Tom Riley applied the finish in the corner following Tovey's pinpoint kick.

Tovey successfully converted the try before Dragons' forward Andrew Coombs was shown the yellow card and James Marshall missed the resultant penalty.

But despite being down to 14 men the visitors crossed for a second try on 67 minutes with Tovey once again the creator.

Another kick from the fly-half teed-up Brew, who collected the ball and crossed in the corner for the second try.

Man of the match Tovey could not convert with his kick striking the post but the Dragons had done enough to complete the double over Aironi.
