Thomas has played for Wales at U18, U19, U21 and Sevens |
Fly-half Aled Thomas has left the Dragons to join London Welsh. The 23-year-old Scarlets product, a Wales Sevens regular, has played 44 times in three seasons in Newport. Thomas' arrival at Old Deer Park makes up for the Exiles' loss of former Wales fly-half Matthew Jones, who has joined Mike Ruddock's Worcester Warriors. "We did not feel it was appropriate for us to stand in the way of Matthew's ambitions to regain his Wales place," said London Welsh boss Peter Thomas. | 606: DEBATE | "He did a terrific job while he was with us and we thank him for all his efforts, and whilst his stay with us was brief it was a very memorable one and we wish him all the best for the future, I'm sure he will be a huge success with Worcester. "Aled is a very exciting player; a good strong and accurate kicker and I'm sure he will continue to develop our game in the direction that we saw towards the end of last season. "We're delighted to welcome him to London Welsh." Fijian international wing Michael Tagicakibau has also agreed a new deal with the Exiles.
