Newcastle have confirmed that England Sevens wing Ollie Phillips will join Stade Francais next season.

Phillips follows team-mates Tom May and Jamie Noon in moving to France and head coach Steve Bates says the 26-year-old deserves his move.

"Ollie's attitude has always been outstanding," he said.

"Unfortunately his appearances for us have been limited this season and I am sure he will seize his new chance in Paris with both hands."

Phillips will be joined in Paris by Wasps and England flanker James Haskell, who is also set for the French capital next season.
