Balding won the Premiership and Heineken Cup at Leicester
Newcastle Falcons flanker Adam Balding believes his hard-working style will endear him to supporters should he make his debut against Sale on Sunday.
Balding, 28, arrived at Kingston Park in July from Premiership rivals Gloucester and the England Saxon has relished life at his new club so far.
"I like to pride myself on my work ethic and my uncompromising style of play," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"It's been enjoyable but a lot of hard work and it's a unique club."
Balding adds strength to a back row line-up already brimming with talent and the former Leicester man admits his place in the side is by no means guaranteed.
"We've got a wealth of back-row players up here, both experienced players and good young players coming through as well," he said.
"You've got players to come back from injury like Ross Beattie who's a Scotland international and a fantastic player so there's a lot of competition.
"But it's going to be a long hard season and we're going to need all those players fit and available for selection."
