Miller was impressive for Newcastle towards the end of last season |
Newcastle Falcons fly-halves Rory Clegg and Rob Miller have both been named in the England Under-20 squad for the 2008/09 season. Miller has been a regular feature in the England set-up over the last year, helping them to a Grand Slam and a place in the Under-20s World Cup final. Clegg was part of former Falcons coach John Fletcher's England Under-18 side. That side enjoyed an unbeaten year in 2008, winning the Grand Slam and all five of their Argentina tour matches. Both players broke into the Falcons side during the tail end of the 2007-08 campaign and it was Miller in particular who made an impression. The 19-year-old scored a try on his debut against Bristol in March 2008, while Clegg took his bow against Leeds Carnegie in a pre-season friendly in August.
