Munster came from behind to beat the Dragons 15-7 in Saturday's Magners League game at Musgrave Park.
The Welsh side led 7-3 at half-time thanks to a try and a conversion by Aled Thomas to a Ronan O'Gara penalty.
Munster fought back after the break with forwards Donncha O'Callaghan and Denis Leamy crossing the Dragons' line and O'Gara adding a conversion.
The Irish province now lie sixth on 44 points with the Dragons back in ninth position on 35 points.
Marcus Horan was yellow carded in the first half for a scuffle with Andy Hall while Thomas missed with three penalty attempts for the Dragons.
O'Gara landed a penalty before Thomas converted his own try to put his side ahead at the interval in a lacklustre match.
The Dragons had two players sin-binned within three minutes after the break, Jamie Ringer for throwing punches and Michael Owen for a dangerous tackle on Brian O'Driscoll.
O'Callaghan barged across after a five-metre scrum and Leamy charged over off the back of a 62nd minute scrum.
Injuries sustained by Brian Carney and O'Callaghan will be of concern to the Munster and Ireland management teams.
