Edwards hopes fortunes will turn

Edwards felt Wasps' performance was improved despite another defeat

London Wasps coach Shaun Edwards has called Sunday's 13-12 defeat to Sale "incredibly disappointing" after an improvement on recent performances.

Edwards told BBC London 94.9: "It's just the way it's going for us at the moment. Hopefully it'll turn.

"The performance was like chalk and cheese from last week when we were embarrassed with the way we played against Harlequins."

Wasps have won one league game this season. They play Newcastle on Friday.

Eight Wasps players started for England against South Africa in a 42-6 defeat that further damaged morale among the club's players.

Wing Tom Voyce told BBC London 94.9 it was important players stuck together.

"It's a case of staying positive, not going off in little cliques and complaining," he said.

"The massive thing about Wasps is we stick together and don't point the finger. If we keep working hard it will come our way soon."
