The Premiership Champions are looking to build on their success next season |
Wasps have completed the signing of Australian centre Lachlan Mitchell. The 20-year-old, a Sydney University product, joins from the New South Wales Waratahs' academy on a two-year deal. He joins the Premiership champions on the recommendation of ex-England prop and current Sydney University coach Trevor Woodman. "Lachlan is a player who we feel will both benefit from and add to the Wasps environment," director of rugby Ian McGeechan told the club's website. "We have been impressed with the footage we have seen of him." Academy graduate Hugo Ellis has also joined the first team squad on a two-year deal. "There is a great wealth of young talent coming through the ranks at wasps and it's a very exciting time for the club as we see our youngsters develop and shape our squad," McGeechan added. Jeremy Staunton has also been offered a full contract and Henry Barratt will join the club next season. But Nick Adams has joined French side Montauban.
