Voyce is confident Wasps can get the better of Gloucester on Sunday

Wasps winger Tom Voyce has cranked up the heat on rivals Gloucester by claiming New Zealand star Lesley Vainikolo will be "smashed" on Sunday.

Wasps trail the leaders by six points ahead of their clash at Adams Park.

Voyce told BBC London 94.9: "We're all quite looking forward to Vainikolo playing because everyone just wants to get up and smash him.

"The great thing about the Wasps team is they like to be challenged, especially our back row players."

Voyce added: "They actually like the confrontation and our coaches put the onus on them to smash people.

"I think he's (Vainikolo) going to have a pretty tough ride."

Wasps face three matches in the space of the next seven days, starting with the visit of Gloucester on Sunday.
