Wasps fly-half Jeremy Staunton will join London Irish for the start of next season after signing a two-year deal with the Exiles. The 26-year-old, who has won four caps for Ireland, signed for Wasps from Harlequins last season but not all his 33 appearances have been at fly-half.
"I've enjoyed my time at Wasps but I need a fresh challenge," he said.
"I continue to have ambitions to play for Ireland so the more top-level experience I can get the better."
Staunton, who joined Wasps after Quins were relegated from the Premiership in 2005, has scored 41 points in nine Premiership games this season.
"Jeremy is an exceptional Premiership player who will bring a lot of valuable experience to us," said London Irish rugby director Brian Smith.
"He is a mature person and player whose best rugby is ahead of him. He is coming from a winning culture where he is a key decision-maker on the park, we will be looking to benefit from that."
Meanwhile, Wasps centre Dominic Waldouck has agreed to a new two-year contract.
The teenager made his first-team debut five months ago and has made 11 appearances this season for the Heineken Cup quarter-finalists.
He has also represented England at under-16 and under-19 level.
"I'm really looking forward to the next couple of years. There's a good bunch of young players here and we are all eager to learn and do well," he said.
