Catt starts his first game since November at fly-half |
Mike Catt starts at fly-half for London Irish for their European Challenge Cup match against Connacht. Head coach Toby Booth has named 12 internationals in his squad as the Exiles look to close out the pool. Captain Bob Casey told BBC Radio Berkshire it will not be a problem motivating his team for the game. "We're really enjoying playing at home in Reading and the guys know that Connacht are coming over needing points to reach the quarter-finals," he said. "It's always special to play one of the Irish teams - we see ourselves as the fifth province. I'm sure there will be a good crowd there and a bit of craic afterwards." Casey added he was looking forward to catching up with former London Irishman, Adrian Flavin, who captains Connacht at the Madejski Stadium. "Flav is a fine hooker - probably one of the best at throwing the ball into a line-out that I've ever come across," he stated. "He's doing a very good job for Connacht and it just shows you how highly they regard him that they've made him captain." London Irish versus Connacht kicks off at 1500 GMT and is live on BBC Berkshire.
