Exiles swoop for Samoan Seveali'i

Elvis Seveali'i

London Irish head coach Toby Booth has made Elvis Seveali'i his first signing since taking over from Brian Smith.

The Samoan international centre, 30, has signed from Sale on an initial one-year deal with an option to extend.

He previously played for Wellington, Bath and the Ospreys and has 15 international caps.

Booth said: "Elvis will enhance and add depth to our potent midfield. He shares the same work and playing ethos as Seilala Mapusua."

Seveali'i added: "I'm looking forward to playing for London Irish.

"Having played against the club, I like the style of rugby the team plays and I'm also looking forward to linking up with my friends Seilala Mapusua and Sailosi Tagicakibau."
