London Irish have signed former Border Reivers centre Bryan Rennie on a one-year contract. Although born in South Africa, the 23-year-old qualifies for Scotland through his Aberdeen-born father.
He joined Borders after scoring over 20 tries in a successful 2005-06 season with Watsonians.
London Irish Director of Rugby Brian Smith said: "Bryan is a hard running centre who is very highly rated by Gregor Townsend."
Borders were disbanded at the end of last season.
