Simon Easterby won 65 Ireland caps between 1999 and 2008

Veteran flanker Simon Easterby has added to the Scarlets blind-side injury crisis as he has been ruled out for five weeks due top a fractured finger.

The 34-year-old former British and Irish Lions and Ireland international was injured in the Scarlets' Boxing Day 21-14 defeat to the Ospreys.

He joins fellow flankers Dafydd Jones and Josh Turnbull out injured so Rob McCusker faces the Dragons on Thursday.

Wales stars Mark Jones, Matthew Rees and Rhys Thomas are also sidelined.
