Scarlets full-back and points scorer Daniel Evans makes a break

The Scarlets will go into the new Magners League season on the back of two defeats by Bath.

The Guinness Premiership club followed up their 17-15 win at Parc y Scarlets with a narrow victory at the rain-soaked Rec on Friday.

Visiting full-back Daniel Evans kicked a penalty after after 17 minutes.

The only try of a game came after 30 minutes as Matt Carraro, Shontayne Hape, Tom Cheeseman and Nick Abendanon combined to send wing Joe Maddock over.
