Mills was released by Llanelli Scarlets earlier this week |
London Welsh have moved quickly to sign Wales Under-21 back-rower Jon Mills after his release by Llanelli Scarlets. Mills, 23, scored two tries in 39 games for the Scarlets, but featured just six times last season, and enjoyed four unbeaten games on loan at London Welsh.
Mills and hooker Aled Gravelle agreed to terminate their Scarlets contracts earlier this week.
Twenty-six-year-old Gravelle's promising career has been blighted by injury. He played 11 times last season.
Mills joined Llanelli from Bath in 2004 and won honours with Wales during the 2005 U21 Six Nations.
"Jon made a terrific impact when he came on loan to us last season and we are delighted to have him back," said Exiles chief executive Peter Thomas.
"He was very popular with our supporters and I am sure they will be pleased that he has agreed to join us."
