Hayter offers experienced cover in the World Cup period |
Hooker James Hayter has joined Llanelli Scarlets on a short-term deal following his release by Harlequins. The deal runs until Christmas when it will be reviewed, the 27-year-old covering for Matthew Rees (World Cup duty) and Aled Gravelle (foot injury).
"I was plagued by injuries at Quins and things probably got a bit stale for me there," Hayter told the South Wales Evening Post.
"This is a breath of fresh air, a great move for me on and off the field."

In the absence of Rees and Gravelle, Hayter will compete with 20-year-old Ken Owens for the number two jersey at Stradey Park.
