Douglas will bolster the Scarlets scrum |
Llanelli Scarlets have signed Scottish tight-head prop Bruce Douglas. The 27-year-old played for Border Reivers for the last five years, but found himself without a club after they closed down at the end of last season.
Douglas has won 43 caps for Scotland, including several seasons as first choice, but he has failed to win a place in the World Cup training squad.
He becomes the second tight-head prop to sign for the Scarlets this summer following Ben Broster's arrival.
Douglas joined the Reivers from Harlequins in 2002 and made his first Scotland appearance in the November Test against Romania that year.
