Jones has missed much of the last two seasons to injury |
Scarlets director of rugby Phil Davies says he is delighted to welcome Wales flanker Dafydd Jones back to the fold after his long series of injury woes. "It's great to have Daf back, he's a top player whose work-rate and industry add so much," said Davies.
"With (Scotland lock) Scott Macleod also back it's a healthy situation."
Davies has picked the two internationals in his starting line-up for Saturday's must-win EDF Energy Cup match at Sale Sharks.
The Llanelli side are three points behind Sale in Group C and a bonus-point win would guarantee a semi-final spot. Sale need only a draw to top the group.

A Scarlets win without a bonus-point could open the door for Newcastle to progress, if they get a bonus-point win from their home clash with Harlequins on Friday.
"Even with all their injuries Sale have a very strong squad," said Davies.
"They bring huge intensity and ferocity at the breakdown, but it's a massive opportunity for us to pit ourselves against the English champions and see where we are.
"There will be a lot of chances in the game - we just have to make sure we create and score more."
Llanarth-man Jones, 27, will be making his first appearance of the season after shoulder reconstruction in the summer.
The 29-cap back-rower has missed much of the past two seasons with groin, hand and ankle trouble before his shoulder problems.
In his absence a number of players have been tried in the Wales number six jersey, including Colin Charvis, Ryan Jones, Alun Wyn Jones and - most recently - Jonathan Thomas.
But none have nailed down the jersey, and with ex-Stradey Park supremo Gareth Jenkins at the Wales helm Dafydd Jones is likely to be a serious contender for next year's World Cup.
