Leinster scored five tries and secured a bonus point as they eventually ran out comfortable winners against Glasgow Warriors at Donnybrook on Friday night.
The visitors led 18-16 at half-time but were unable to preserve their lead.
Keith Gleeson, Brian Blaney, Denis Hickie, Chris Whitaker and Jamie Heaslip scored Leinster's tries with Kearney and Andy Dunne kicking points.
Jon Petrie, Thom Evans and Kevin Tkachuk got Glasgow's tries and Dan Parks two penalties and a conversion.
A Kearney penalty and a Gleeson try gave the Irish province an early advantage but Parks responded by knocking over two penalties.
Blaney and Petrie then notched touchdowns for their respective teams, with Parks converting Petrie's try.
Evans made it 18-13 to Glasgow with his side's second try of the game but Kearney replied with a penalty to reduce Leinster's arrears to two points at the break.
Hickie crossed the Warriors line to give his side a three point lead but the advantage was shortlived as Tkachuk stormed over to put Glasgow ahead again.
Michael Cheika's side finished strongly with a Kearney penalty, Whiatker's try which Kearney converted and a Heaslip try to which Dunne added the two points.
