Youngs scored a fine solo try in the narrow second Test win over Australia

Leicester Tigers scrum-half Ben Youngs says his summer tour with England has been great for his development and he is returning a better player.

Youngs, 20, starred in the tour to Australia and New Zealand, scoring a try on his full debut in the second Test victory over Australia.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "It was tough and really intense but fantastic.

"People will hopefully be able to look at me to have a little bit more input with regards the game management."

Youngs added: "You get that experience and know if you make mistakes at the top level you will get punished.

"The hardest thing now is trying to stay there. I need to perform week in, week out.

"But I've had a break away from rugby, took it easy and refreshed the mind and I feel really good and ready to hit the ground running."
