Tuilagi has progressed through the ranks at Welford Road |
Leicester Tigers winger Manu Tuilagi will be able to continue his career at Welford Road after finally being granted a work permit. The 19-year-old England Under-18 back had his original request for a UK permit turned down by the Home Office. But the decision has been overturned and he has been granted indefinite leave to remain in the county. "I always wanted to stay. I went to school in this area and my friends are here," he told the club website. "It is a big day for me to be told this good news and now I can concentrate on my rugby career with Leicester Tigers." Leicester rugby director Peter Wheeler said: "This is great news. "On behalf of Manu and his family, Leicester Tigers would like to thank everyone who has shown their support for his case."
