Crane is in his third full season at Welford Road |
Leicester Tigers number eight Jordan Crane insists the club are treating the EDF Energy Cup as seriously as any other trophy. Head coach Heyneke Meyer will rest a number of players for Saturday's clash with Bath, but Crane says the Tigers will still be raring to win. "In the last two years we've got to the final twice - it's massive," he told BBC Radio Leicester. "We're here to play in all three competitions," he added. "Our squad's good enough to compete in all three competitions, if not win them. "That's our goal, and whoever puts on the shirt on Saturday, they're playing for Leicester Tigers and people expect us to win." And Crane is confident that some squad rotation will enhance competition within the Tigers' camp and give less regular starters a chance to show their colours. "There's a lot of boys who are chomping at the bit to get a game, and are possibly a bit annoyed that they're not," said Crane. "But they're all just working hard and we've got a great team spirit here."
