We know how dangerous Wasps are when we give them broken-field situations and easy turnovers
Martin Corry
Skipper Martin Corry says Leicester must win Saturday's Premiership final against Wasps to ensure their troubled season can be classed as a success.
"This is the culmination of all the hard work we have put in," Corry told BBC Radio Leicester.
"The season has been a bit up and down but we have an opportunity to make it an over-riding success.
"And there is a determination amongst the players that we are not going to let this chance slip."
Tigers only scraped into the end-of-season play-offs on the final day of the season.
But they know a poor league campaign, an EDF Energy Cup final defeat and failure in Europe will be forgotten if they can retain their Premiership title at Twickenham on Saturday.
"Everything is focused on beating Wasps," Corry said. "If we don't it will be a massive disappointment.
"The thing that has let us down this season has been our consistency.
"When we have played well and produced our best rugby we have shown in patches how good a side we can be.

"We take confidence and strength from that and know if we produce our best rugby we are a very dangerous outfit."
Corry is hoping for a repeat of the EDF Energy Cup semi-final meeting between the sides in March where Tigers turned in one of their best displays of the season as they secured a 34-24 victory.
"The key things that went on in that game were we played rugby in the right areas and kept hold of the ball," former England captain Corry said.
"We probably had control of the ball for the first 15 minutes and that set the tone and we were doing something constructive with it.
"We know how dangerous Wasps are when we give them broken-field situations and easy turnovers.
"We managed to nullify that in the semi-final and need to do that again."
