England and Leicester scrum-half Harry Ellis said he is ready to start a game after playing for 20 minutes in the 34-21 win against Leeds on Saturday. The 25-year-old has been out of the game since rupturing his left anterior cruciate ligament in the Premiership semi-final against Bristol last season.
After the Leeds match he said: "I feel as though I could now start a game.
"I'm strong enough, I'm fit enough and all the conditioning work I've been doing has been spot on."
Ahead of Saturday's trip to Worcester he said: "I've got something to add to the team and hopefully I'll get the chance to do that."
But Leicester fly-half Ian Humphreys believes the Tigers do not need to rush Ellis back.
"I think it's unfair for everybody to just go 'Harry's back, brilliant!',"
"I think it would be wrong to rush Harry back, he will be rusty, he'll make mistakes but his enthusiasm in training is brilliant," Humphreys said.
