Leicester Tigers and England centre Ollie Smith will begin contract negotiations with the club next week. The 25-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Welford Road club last summer but Smith has also spoken to other clubs about a possible move.
Coach Marcelo Loffreda told BBC Radio Leicester: "He will have the first conversations next week.
"We need to have it sorted because he is a very good player and a very committed player."
