Smith will be hoping to repeat his try-scoring heroics in Toulouse

Smith scored the only try as the Tigers beat the French giants 14-9 at Welford Road last Saturday and the Pool Six heavyweights meet again this weekend.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "It spurs you on, it's really like you are going into the dragons den.

"You don't want to block it out, you want to use it to your advantage."

"You want to use it as an incentive to get one over the opposition," he added.

But Smith, who will start at outside centre, is aware the Top 14 side will be keen to claim the points at Stade Ernest Wallon after their defeat in Leicester.

"We know they underperformed and they'll be wanting to get their own back at home so it's going to be a tough task."

Tigers head coach Marcelo Loffreda says picking the right time to play an expansive game will be key.

He said: "We have good players who can play a running game and when the situation comes we will use it.

"But we will try to be brighter than them in the use of the ball.

"There's some part of their defence of which we can take advantage, but we have to aware of them as they look to take quick lineouts."
