Tadulala first interested Gloucester when he was at Wakefield |
Fijian winger Semi Tadulala believes his move to Leeds Carnegie is an opportunity to be part of building something special. The former rugby league star has moved to Headingley from Gloucester Rugby on a two-year-deal. Tadulala told BBC Radio Leeds: "Leeds are up and coming - they've got a good bunch of coaches and boys who are willing to work. "I know they're going to be successful and aim for bigger and better things." Tadulala continued: "It's always what I've wanted to do - be part of something where we can make something out of a bunch of ordinary guys." Tadulala is familiar with West Yorkshire after spells with both the Bradford Bulls and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. He made his debut in rugby union with the Fiji national team against Romania last autumn, which delayed his arrival at Gloucester. Tadulala only made two appearances for the Cherry and Whites, both coming in the LV= Cup. "Gloucester for me was just a stepping stone into rugby union," he said. | For me it's like I'm starting my career again because I'm learning |
"At the time it was the right move for me and I'm grateful for what I've done down there in the last six months. "I was happy down at Gloucester but I'm even happier now and I'm settled up here. "For me it's like I'm starting my career again because I'm learning, and I've always been willing to learn and listen, that's the kind of guy I am. "The coaches at Leeds are always willing to help you when they can, and I'm just looking forward to a great season."
