Leeds (33) 47 Tries: Fourie, Rabeni, MacDonald, Blackett, Wentzel, Paul, Welding Cons: Thomas 2, Strange 4 Bucuresti (0) 0
Leeds Carnegie drew level with Bourgoin at the top of their Amlin Challenge Cup pool after a seven-try rout of Bucuresti Oaks at Headingley. The hosts had secured their second straight bonus point against the Romanian minnows inside half an hour. Hendre Fourie, Seru Rabeni, Mike MacDonald, Lee Blackett and Marco Wentzel all crossed before half-time. Henry Paul and Richard Welding added further scores, Ceiron Thomas (two) and Jason Strange (four) converting six.
Leeds head coach Neil Back told BBC Radio Leeds: "We've picked up a few knocks and we don't know how bad they are. They will have to be managed carefully. "Hopefully they will come through, otherwise I've got the belief that the other guys in the squad can come in and do a job. "We needed a five-point win and anything less would have been very disappointing."
