Goodridge will start his Leeds career against former club Gloucester |
Jon Goodridge is Leeds' seventh new signing after agreeing a two-year deal. The full-back's first league game will be against former club Gloucester on the first weekend of the new season.
"Word got round that I was joining Leeds after the fixture list came out and there has been a bit of banter already," said the 26-year-old.
"I believe I am a Premiership player and I am going to jump at the opportunity that (Leeds boss) Stuart Lancaster has given me."
Goodridge joins Alberto Di Bernardo, Vili Ma'asi (both Cornish Pirates), Joe Bedford, Hendre Fourie, Adam Hopcroft, Erik Lund (all Rotherham) and Andy Tuilagi (Leicester) at Headingley.
Leeds Carnegie director of rugby Lancaster said: "Jon brings with him Premiership experience and a desire to prove to himself that he can play at the highest level, something he has already shown in his career."
