Harlequins fly-half Nick Evans has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the Premiership club until 2013. The 30-year-old former All Black joined Quins two years ago from Super 14 side Auckland Blues. "Harlequins allow me to play the style of rugby that I believe brings out the best in me," he told the club website. "I am looking forward over the next two years to helping the club compete for those top table places." Evans has become a huge hit among Harlequins supporters since his arrival for a number of game-changing performances. | 606: DEBATE |
His value was again in evidence last weekend in the 29-29 draw with Wasps at Twickenham when he not only created the opening try but was also faultless with the boot and garnered a 19-point haul. Harlequins director of Rugby, Conor O'Shea added: "This is fantastic news for everyone at the club. "Nick is a world-class player who fits everything that this club wants to be and is also hugely motivated to win silverware with Quins. "
