Kingston joined Harlequins in 2001 from Irish side Galwegians

Harlequins have appointed John Kingston as their new head coach in place of ACT Brumbies-bound Andy Friend.

Colin Osbourne steps up from academy manager to become assistant first-team coach, while ex-England player Tony Diprose takes over as academy boss.

Quins director of rugby Dean Richards said: "I'm delighted John has decided to take the head coach position.

"I have a huge regard for all my coaching staff and I am looking forward to next season."
