Harlequins centre Stuart Abbott has been banned for three weeks by the Rugby Football Union for a dangerous tackle on London Irish's Paul Hodgson. Abbott, who joined newly-promoted Quins in the summer, was yellow-carded for the challenge in the Premiership opener at Twickenham on 2 September.
The former Wasps player pleaded guilty after being cited and will be available for selection again on 3 October.
He will miss their next two Premiership matches against Wasps and Leicester.
He will also be unavailable for their opening EDF Energy Cup fixture against Llanelli Scarlets on 1 October.
