Hazell keen to make amends
Andy Hazell insists Gloucester have improved from the team that lost twice to Cardiff Blues in the Heineken Cup.
The sides meet for a third time this season in Saturday's EDF Cup final and flanker Hazell is out to make amends.
Hazell told BBC Points West: "We're a better team than when we played them earlier in the year.
"Losing to them wasn't nice and we let ourselves down, but since then we've got a few people back into the team like Gareth Delve and Greg Somerville."
Gloucester led in both those pool matches before losing 37-24 in Cardiff in October and 16-12 at home in January.
Those results cost Dean Ryan's team a place in the Heineken Cup quarter-finals, where the Blues maintained their good form to beat Toulouse 9-6.
Gloucester lost last time out, going down 40-22 at Northampton, but with no European commitments they enjoyed a weekend off and Hazell believes a fortnight of training will help them against the Blues.
He added: "We've been a bit hot and cold, but we've had two weeks to train with no game and we ironed out a few problems and hopefully we can take that forward into the game.
"They were just really small things that eventually compound into big things, but we've analysed it and we'll hopefully cut those out.
"It's a great occasion to go to Twickenham with a lot of people supporting you and it's what you play rugby for.
"We're desperate for the win and fingers crossed we can come back with that trophy."
