Murchie said his move to Glasgow was popular with his family |
Glasgow Warriors have signed former Bath and London Welsh centre Peter Murchie on a two-year deal. The 23-year-old said he was looking forward to life in Glasgow, adding: "My dad used to play for Ardrossan and is a very passionate Scotsman. "He's been keen to get me back north of the border so this move realises an ambition for the two of us." Warriors head coach Sean Lineen said Murchie had the "raw material" to become a great player at the club. Murchie agreed to sign for Warriors after travelling to Glasgow to meet Lineen, the rest of the coaching staff and the players. "Moving to Glasgow is a good way to further my career because it's another step up," he added. Lineen said his new signing would add depth to the club's back-line. Meanwhile, Warriors prop Ed Kalman has signed a new two-year-deal with the club.
