Barker is looking forward to starring for Glasgow again

Lock Tim Barker has returned for a second stint with Glasgow Warriors.

The 26-year-old left Glasgow to join Ulster at the end of the 2005-06 season before moving on to French side Castres in November 2007.

The 6ft, 6in former Ireland Under-21 star said: "I'm very excited to be coming back because I thoroughly enjoyed my previous spell.

"Glasgow have been improving every year and I'm impressed with the ambition Sean Lineen has for the team."

Barker has agreed a two-year deal and head coach Lineen added: "It's a real coup getting Tim back to Glasgow.

"He will help drive the competition we've got going in the second row.

"Tim will give us that hard edge we need and will increase the mobility of the pack."
