Exeter Chiefs snap up Junior Poluleuligaga

Polu has previously enjoyed spells with Waikato Chiefs and Toulon

Exeter Chiefs have signed Samoa and Pacific Islanders international scrum-half Junior Poluleuligaga ahead of their first season in the Premiership.

The 29-year-old previously played at Harlequins before his release in 2009.

He told Exeter's website: "It's an exciting time to come to the club and I am determined to repay the faith shown in me by Exeter.

"Exeter is a nice place and the stadium is really impressive. Everybody in the club is ready to step up."

The Chiefs already have a Samoan element in Chad Slade and Garrick Cowley, and Polu admitted this has made it easier to settle in.

"It definitely helps that I have a few guys from back home here already," he said.

"They have made the transition a lot easier and I guess it has made me more hungry to play."
