Jacobsen was injured during the last Six Nations campaign |
Scotland prop Allan Jacobsen will make his Edinburgh comeback at the weekend after a six-month injury lay-off. The 30-year-old has been sidelined since damaging his shoulder on international duty against Italy. Jacobsen will play some part in Saturday's pre-season friendly match against Harlequins at Myreside. "I've done a lot of training on my own and a lot of rehab, so it is good just to be back amongst it again," said Edinburgh's record appearance holder. Having turned out 211 times for Edinburgh, Jacobsen had to look on as his team-mates clinched second place in the Magners League last term. "The way the season ended for me personally was really disappointing because I felt I was playing some of the best rugby of my career," he added. "It was magic to see the boys do so well, but it was frustrating as well not being a part of it. So I'm just glad to be back fit. "It has been six months since I had that operation. It has been the longest period I've been out of rugby since I started playing."
