Edinburgh forward Rennie will be out for two weeks for dangerous play |
Edinburgh head coach Andy Robinson is angry about the two-week ban slapped on Ross Rennie for a dangerous tackle. The flanker has been punished for a challenge on Wasps wing Paul Sackey in the 25-16 Heineken Cup defeat. The independent disciplinary committee said Rennie's offence was at the "low-end of the level of seriousness". "Naturally, I'm very disappointed," said Robinson. "Anyone who knows him will testify he is a competitive player, but not a reckless one." Rennie was reported by match citing commissioner Brian Fowler and will miss Sunday's Heineken Cup return match.
