Hogg had only just recovered from an elbow injury |
Edinburgh flanker Ally Hogg is facing 12 weeks out of action after rupturing the medial ligament in his right knee. Hogg was hurt against Cardiff Blues on 3 November, his comeback game after a month out with an elbow problem.
The Scotland star's leg will remain in a brace for the next two months, but he will not require surgery.
Edinburgh physio Olli Finlay said: "We will begin rehab in the brace so that by the time he finally sheds it, we can put him on an accelerated programme."
