Flanagan gave a composed display and scored 14 points |
Rookie Blues fly-half Dai Flanagan says he is enjoying the limelight after his starring role in the 31-21 win over Stade Francais at Cardiff Arms Park. The Pontypridd product, 22, has stepped up after injuries to Nicky Robinson and Nick Macleod, while Ben Blair's late withdrawal also handed him the kicking.
Flanagan responded with 14 points, his late drop-goal also denying the French a valuable losing bonus point.
"I'm enjoying all that's happening and just hope it continues," he said.

"I only knew about 45 minutes beforehand that Blair was out, so I got some quick practice kicks in.
"I was just in the right place at the right time for the drop-goal. We could have gone for a try bonus point ourselves, but it was my decision to try to deny them the extra point.
"I'm always looking to develop my game. It's not there yet and I doubt that I'm ahead of Robinson or Macleod in the pecking order, but I'm getting to where I want to be.
"Now we need to concentrate on a huge Magners League derby with the Dragons on Boxing Day and the rest of the Magners League, after that we'll look to get back up for Europe."

Blues coach Dai Young was pleased with the development shown by Flanagan and his squad in general.
"He's building and getting better with every game," Young told BBC Sport Wales.
"We're trying to build the squad. Our rotation policy has been criticised, but you can see what happened against Stade.
"Things are developing season on season. It's a long process and we're not where we want to be yet, but we're going in the right direction.
"The Heineken Cup is in our own hands and that's all you can ask for at this stage, but we have to back up the Stade win with big performances at home to Harlequins and away at Bristol."
