Bristol eased to victory against a lifeless Blues in both sides' final pre-season friendly at the Arms Park.
A Jason Strange penalty was the only score of the first-half, the fly-half doubling that advantage on 49 minutes.
Nick Macleod pulled a penalty back for the Blues, but late tries from Lee Robinson and Joe El Abd sealed victory.
Consolation for the home side came in the shape of Wales and Lions three quarter Tom Shanklin, who played 57 minutes after 10 months out injured.
